My Chicken Coop I walk down stairs and slide on my green pac boots. I make some hot
coco for the walk to the chicken coop. When I walk out side is just snowed
the night before and this morning the sun was out bright in the sky with the
suns light sparkling off the crystal white snow. I plowed my way to the coop
with the tractor because it was really deep. I plowed in the pen so the
chickens can go out because they hate the snow. When I got done I shut
off the tractor and walked to the front door and flipped the latch open to the
chicken coop.
I walk in and the chickens start squawking and I see feathers and poop on
the floor. I can smell poop, grain, and sawdust that i put on the ground to be
warmer for the chickens and easy to clean up the poop. I have fencing to
block off 1\4 of the coop to put grain and bread bins with tools.
I open up the fence door to get to the other part of the coop wear the
chickens are. I hear the roosters start crowing and i almost slipped and fell
because when I emptied out the chicken waterers and there was ice in
them . I went to catch myself when I slid my hand down the chicken coop
and I got splinters from it. So I walk over to the nesting boxes and there are
6 x large brown eggs. I picked them up and 1 was still nice and warm. I
looked above me and there are chickens looking down at me so I picked
them up and set them on the ground so they can go outside but they all ran
back in because the snow is so cold on there feet. They hate the snow. I
walk out side and open my pen door to go to the 5x5 little coop that I have
for the bantams that I keep separate from the other chickens in the big
coop. When I walk back through the pen and I almost sprang my ankle at
least 7 times from all of the dusting holes that the chickens made in the
pen.
